How and Where We Put Our Funds

Since 2011, RS Angels has increasingly made its presence known and provides Angel Funds, Sibling Scholarships, family get-togethers, and community outings throughout New England—all made possible by the generosity of our community. We’re supported through corporate grants, our annual Blue Sky Day celebration (which we’re proud to continue hosting for over a decade!), fundraising events, and donations from families and friends like you. We always welcome new fundraising ideas and are deeply grateful for every contribution, including gifts made in memory of or in honor of loved ones.

THANK YOU for being part of our RS Angels family!

From 1987-Present

RS Angels has contributed $1.25 millon to laboratory research and clinical trials

How has RS Angels made use of these funds?

Helping to find treatments and a cure

Rett Syndrome Angels has contributed to clinical trials and research at Boston Children’s Hospital Rett Syndrome Program from the very start of the program.  Our partnership with the program continues to be strong!  We are very fortunate to have this wonderful resource and its caring team so close to home.  In 2019, Rett Syndrome Angels also supported the Boston Rett Program through Rettsyndrome.org’s Clinical Network initiative.

In collaboration with Rett Syndrome Research Trust and Rettsyndrome.org, RS Angels  has contributed to a variety of research projects taking place in Massachusetts.  These include research at Boston Children’s Hospital, MIT, Harvard Medical School and University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Helping families and raising awareness!

In 2020, RS Angels established a Sibling Scholarship to recognize the siblings of our Rett children and to help families with college expenses.

RS Angels holds family events that include an Annual Family Picnic and the Annual Blue Sky Day celebration and lunch.  There are no fees to attend RS Angels family events.

Support to families during COVID included supplying masks early on in the pandemic and covering the cost of on-line communication workshops.

Recent RS Angels educational programs for families and professionals include RettEdDay held in conjunction with Boston Children’s Hospital and Rettsyndome.org;  a local, day long workshop on communication in partnership with Girl Power 2 Cure and Rett University;  informational webinars and meetings.

Support to Rettland Foundation to aid families participating in clinical trials.

Supplying meals during times of need and uplifting gifts during illnesses;  making memorial donations.

Please support Rett Syndrome Angels as we continue to support families all throughout New England!
